Cranberry Pear Party Punch
Servings: 10-12
Just when I thought last month’s cranberry pear cocktail couldn’t get any better, I have created a delicious mocktail/cocktail party punch. This allows those who prefer to enjoy the option of an adult beverage, while at the same time, offering a delicious punch for everyone.
Ingredients
1 c. canned cranberry sauce, (3/4 of a 14 oz. can)
2 c. pear juice
2 c. apple cider
1 c. cranberry juice
1 c. lime juice
3 T. maple syrup
1/4 t. vanilla extract
1/4 t. ground cinnamon
2 T. chipotle raspberry sauce (optional, available in most grocery stores)
2 - 3 (12 oz.) cans of ginger beer*
Garnish: cinnamon stick, fresh cranberries (when in season) and pear slice
Whipped Cream Vodka
*Ginger beer is non-alcoholic and offers a “bite” to this beverage. I enjoy the “bite” but if you prefer less ginger flavor, substitute ginger ale. I also love using zero-calorie ginger beer or ginger ale.)
Directions
In a blender, combine all ingredients except the ginger beer and puree on high speed for 10-15 seconds. Fill a 12 oz. glass with ice and pour the cranberry mixture halfway up the glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a cinnamon stick. For a cocktail version, add one shot of whipped cream vodka, fill the glass halfway with the cranberry mixture, and top with ginger beer. Enjoy!
