Kathy Hughett Gross is a native Coloradan. Following her father's graduation from Denver University, her parents headed east to Joliet, Illinois. From there, life took her on an adventure, around the country, where she lived in NE, CA, LA, AZ, CT, GA, TN... only to find her way back to Colorado, and the place she loves.

From there, life took her on an adventure, around the country, where she lived in NE, CA, LA, AZ, CT, GA, TN... only to find her way back to Colorado, and the place she loves.
In 2007, Kathy's mom, Patty Hughett, was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's. For the next 13 years, the family watched as Patty slowly slipped into the darkness. Ten years after her mother's diagnosis, it was happening again, only this time, it was her dad Bob Hughett was also diagnosed. They both passed in 2020, just a few months apart.
The journey of losing both parents to Alzheimer's is what prompted Kathy to honor not only her parents but the millions of Americans impacted by Alzheimer's. In 2024, she founded A Life Well Fed, a Colorado 501(c)(3) The first major fundraising project is a cookbook, A Life Well Fed: Recipes to Remember wis no ordinary cookbohat prompted Kathy storybook, filled with delicious recipes from Ina Garten, Emeril Lagasse, Jim Nantz, and many others who have been impacted by this horrible disease and support the fight to end Alzheimer's.
